There are over 800 free parking spaces at Chineham Shopping with Accessible parking and Parent & Child bays available, offering easy access to the shops.

Following your valuable feedback, we’re pleased to announce important changes to parking at Chineham Shopping Centre. We’re extending our FREE 4-hour parking until later each evening – and it’s not just for Christmas! From Monday to Saturday you can enjoy 4 hours of free parking between 5.30am – 12am (extended from 8pm) and on Sundays from 5.30am – 10pm. Parking outside of these times is still free, but it is restricted to 40 minutes.
New Parking Times from 19th December 2025:
Monday to Saturday 05:30 – 00:00 = FREE 4 hours stay
Monday to Saturday 00:00 – 05:30 = FREE 40 minutes stay
Sunday
05:30 – 22:00 = FREE 4 hours stay
22:00 – 05:30 (Monday) = FREE 40 minutes stay

Where are the ANPR cameras located?
The cameras are located at the entrances and exits to each car park.
Where do I find information about fines?
On-site signage will display all relevant information. Failure to comply with the terms & conditions of parking will result in a £100 Parking Charge Notice (£60 if paid within 14 days of issue). If you believe you have received a fine in error, please send an email to info@chinehamshopping.co.uk.
What are the rules on returning?
The non-return period is only 30-minutes, to support those who they visit the centre regularly during the daytime (especially relating to those who use the car park for school drop off/pick up).
How will this affect the EV charging area?
If you are charging your car in the EV charging area, the time limit does not apply.
I am visiting Jetts Gym – what parking restrictions apply to gym users?
Gym users can add their registration number to a machine at the gym reception to extend their parking time to up to 4 hours (any time of day).
What should I do if I work at Chineham Shopping and need to park for more than 4 hours?
Your Manager has information about the staff parking scheme. Please ask your Manager for more information.

Spaces are usable for up to 6 hours free.We have plenty of designated disabled car parking spaces available in The Chimes car park, with direct access to the mall.The Disabled Parking Accreditation (DPA) and People’s Parking (PP) schemes are being replaced by brand new accreditations, Park Access®, and Park Access EV.Both DPA and People’s Parking measure similar criteria as part of a car park’s assessment and in some cases, facilities have received both accreditations. However, there are some notable differences in how each accreditation is assessed and awarded.This new scheme brings together the best of both DPA and People’s Parking and goes further by incorporating the new PAS 1899 Guidelines for Accessible Charging, and very latest, award winning IStructE Car Park design guidelines. Park Access® and Park Access EV will automatically become the UK’s industry standard, recognised throughout the whole of the UK for accessible and inclusive parking and electric vehicle charging facilities.
On exit, please visit any of our Pay Machines and enter your registration number.
Machines will display, ‘please continue with payment or scan your blue badge’.
Please scan your Blue Badge and up to 6 hours will be deducted from the price (if any additional fee is needed then this is paid)
Then please proceed to exit where the barrier opens.

Level 1 is a 24 hour car park. Level 2 – 6 are open 06:00 – 01:00 hours. All car parks have direct lift access to the Centre.
**Evenings 6pm – 1am is valid only if you arrive after 6pm and leave before 1am. Arriving or departing outside of those times results in standard hour charges.

We’re delighted to offer 12 dedicated Tesla charging bays conveniently located on Level 1 of our car park.
These state-of-the-art charging bays ensure you can enjoy all that The Chimes has to offer while your vehicle recharges.
Simply drive to Level 1 and follow the signage to the Tesla charging area.
You can find motorcycle parking on level 1 of our car park. Our motorbike parking flat rate is £2.50 per day. As motorcycles do not weigh enough to trigger the barriers to lift, please press the Help Button at the barriers and our security team will produce a £2.50 charge for you to pay at the exit. As we are a cashless car park, please ensure you have a debit/credit card for the payment.

Car Park FAQs
We are a cash free pay on exit car park.
You can pay at any pay machine via credit or debit card (we do not take American Express) located on level 1-4 of the car park.
You can pay via your phone by clicking on this link or scanning the QR code we have on site for one off payment. Payment is made when you are ready to leave the car park not on entry or in advance.
You can pay at the exit barrier. Just drive to the exit and use your credit or debit card. The barrier will lift automatically once payment is accepted. There’s no need to visit a pay machine.
The car park opens at 6am until 1am. During the Period of 1am-6am only level 1 is open, so if you require access to your car during these hours you will need to park on this level.
When you are ready to leave you go to any pay machine, type in your number plate and a charge will be displayed, it then then prompts you to make payment or scan your blue badge, at this point scan the bar code on your blue badge, this will discount up to 6 hours charge. Once complete please head to the exit.
Yes of course, this is no problem. You will get your first 6 hours for free by scanning your badge at a pay machine and any additional time will be charged as per the tariff.
Yes, you can stay in our car park for longer stays, this is no problem. The tariff will show prices up to 24 hours, but for longer stays you just add the tariff periods together, for example if you stayed Monday 9am to Friday at 1pm you would pay:

Our car park has the “Park mark plus” award, and we have security on site 24/7, all levels are well lit, and all bar level 6 are under cover.
There are several possible options for this, it could simply be a one off and will work on other visits, it could be the plate is damaged, has a reflective film on it, is non-standard DVLA compliant, 3d, 4d plates can sometimes cause issues as can non-standard spacing. Non-standard plate placement or even system error our end. Don’t worry if it doesn’t recognise your plate the system will give you a ticket and when you are ready to leave rather than putting your car registration into the car park machine just scan the ticket, this will allow payment, then take this ticket to use for exit.
