Quieter Time

The Chimes is delighted to introduce Quieter Time, running Monday to Saturday from 9:30am–10:30am and Sunday from 11am–12pm, all year round.

We recognise that shopping centres can sometimes feel overwhelming. During these dedicated sessions, we turn off background music throughout the centre to create a calmer, more peaceful environment for visitors with autism, dementia, and sensory sensitivities—or indeed anyone who prefers a quieter shopping experience.

Whilst we’re working with our retailers to support this initiative, please note that some individual shops may not be able to turn off their in-store music.

We’re also developing sensory bags for hire, which will be available soon. Follow our social media channels for updates and announcements.
