The Shine a Light Awards recognise people, places and projects going above and beyond to make a difference to those grieving in the local community.

Halo understand that every child is different and will respond to grief in their own way and provide a vast range of services for various needs, allowing children opportunities to express themselves.

The Halo play café is a place for anyone to join for some fun, a tea or coffee and bite to eat. The innovative idea of the play café is to support children and their families when someone sadly dies, encouraging them out of the home to access the bereavement support they may require. Within the café, Halo offer referrals for further support, with all proceeds going to Halo Children’s Foundation.

We are incredibly proud to have both Halo Play Café and Halo Pre-loved Boutique at The Chimes and it’s fantastic that their continued efforts have been recognised though the Shine a Light Awards.
