In mid-December, Halo launched their ‘letters to heaven box’, where children could send a letter to remember a special event, anniversary or loved one.

Instead of writing a letter to Santa, Halo encouraged families to write a letter to a loved one as part of their on-going services for bereaved children in the borough. The initiative has been a huge success with Halo now keeping the box as a permanent fixture and incorporating it into their support scheme.

To celebrate the Letters to Heaven box staying, Deputy Mayor Phillip Cornfield attended the Play Café to mark the occasion with a ribbon cutting ceremony, with all of Halo’s network of families attending to celebrate the success.
